about: this project I completed during my fine art A-Level, it was based on the work of Illustrator Jill Journeaux and the ceramist Kate Malone, the brief for this project was to create a piece of work combining 2D and 3D elements, based around the work of Journeaux and Malone. So I created a long banner filled with intricate patterns in the style of Journeaux, with 3D card elements made to look like various fruits, to match the style of Malone's work. The work represents the complexity of a seemingly simple element. For example I used images of oranges in my work, and wanted to show how something as trivial as an orange has much more to it, hence the intricate patterns and different layers of card.
